good ground for a battery in the trunk

hey everyone


i relocated my battery to my trunk and i was just wondering for the people who have relocated theirs in their car, where did you hook up your ground to? i wanna make sure im hooking it up to a good ground

anywhere on the floor will work, just make sure that it is bolted down to bare metal for a good connection, i relocated to my drivers side bin and i drilled a hole and dremeled the paint away and bolted the ground to that.

i was thinking about bolting it down to that piece that sticks up in the wheel weld where the spare tire goes, that piece the holds the tire down, good spot? what u think

my car didn't like the floor ground, no idea why so additonally I ran a ground wire all the way to the original terminal in the engine bay.

I just bolted it down with the passenger side seat belt bolt, but mines in the bin right there not in the trunk

I have been running the # 1 wire to the tower where the shock bolts on and using one of the shock studs and the nut .Yes I do remove the paint under the connector .There is no water in the area so rust does not start .I thought when I first did one about 10 years ago that if I drilled a hole in the trunk floor that rust may eat it .I have done a few with no problems .I will use welding cable and soldered copper ends made from tubing,so I get the size hole I need in the connector .
