Question Going Non Sequential for good ?'s

Did search and got some conflicting info so I thought I would ask again.

I have the turbos out and I want to do the non sequential mod permenitly...

1) On the exhaust manifold, how do you plug the hole left from removing the flap with out having in crack?

2) On the waist gate how much does it need to be bored out?

3) On the secondary turbine how do I do the secure the flap... and at what position(pictures)?

4) If all else fails... Is there any shop that has done this for someone for a reasonable price?

1. tap and use a bolt to plug it up. That's what I did to mine and it seemed to work well. Some people have done it differently. Make sure you use a cast iron bolt to prevent cracking

2. As much as you can go without making it bigger than the flapper

3. 90% open. I welded where the rod from the actuator connects

4. You would know more about places in japan than members here would

No one here does this mod in Japan, noone in even interested... As far a my little circle is concerned. (except for 1 american friend) If they are not 100%stock they are full tuned t4ish for the most part.

I am poor now so that is why I am doing it.

Do you have a picture of the secondary turbine flap postition and weld?

Cut the flap on the wastegate for the secondary out completely. It will clean up your flow considerably.Use a highspeed dremel and a Fiber wheel. Plug the hole on the other with a bolt and washers.

Dont want to sound dense... but just to be sure...

Are you saying cut out the flap and leave the lever intact on the secondary?

I thought I heard someone say that the flap should stay there to direct the flow.

Opinions please. Jesse

The if your doing the full conversion the flap is removed. The flap (or I call it a door) is what causes the extra backpressure that people are trying to get rid of. You remove the entire thing and plug the hole. If you want to leave the flap/door thing you dont do anything to it.

Also if you mail it to Brian at BNRsupercars (which from Japan might be expensive) he'd prob do it for ya for $100 or so. I think thats what he charges when he's selling a set or turbos. Eventhough your not buying turbos he's a nice guy and might do it for you if you ask real nice.

If you dont have the right tools and cant weld good welds its a pain in the ***.

Anyone have anything else?
