Question going to install the Walbro today... Tips?

Hey guys, going to install the Walbro 255lph today or tomorrow. Tips? I seen maybe a better ground source when i install it? But everything else is fine?

Im by no means good with electrical, i seen a few things with a relay to switch from 9v to 12v for idle/wot. But its not necessary. So i don't want to do it... or should i? haha.

Wish me luck.

Pretty straight forward.
Try to change it when you are low on fuel.
I use two small vise grips and clamp down on the fuel lines.
That helped with the fuel leaking and also keep them from dropping out of sight.
I'm not sure if the pump filter comes with the new kit but if you need one let me know. I can tell you an after market filter you can also use that is a perfect replacement. hmmm.... also make sure you put the seal back on perfectly or you'll be leaking on your next fill up. doh! Good luck and have fun.

col thanks. Yea it seems simple, just the whole 9v 12v thing was messing with my mind! I guess there is no need to do it. When i searched there was people saying dont worry about it, and people saying you need to do t. lol all this contradicting information cam mess with you!

On another note i installed my UGEO AEM wideband today, and im running a bit lean at around 7k RPM im at 11.9 AFR. Would a fuel pump install with more fuel pressure, richen my mixture out at higher RPMS?

I don't know if simply changing the pump would cause you to run richer, but I have heard that doing the fuel pump wiring mod does cause the engine to run a bit more rich.

On another note, I think most people shoot for 11.5 to 12.0 at WOT when tuning if that helps. You can run much leaner for idle/cruise as I understand it.

I've read a few threads lately about people installing Walbros and having the sock clog up pretty quickly with old rust from inside the tank. If possible, flush the gas tank of any old residue before you put in the Walbro.

Here's one of those threads I mentioned.

And here's a pic of his week-old Walbro:
