Gearbox brace

What gearbox brace are you guy's using on the fd. How much difference did it make to the car apart from more noise?
This is a pic of mine I have just ordered from Japan should be here in about 4 days.

I'm using A-Spec's. Along with poly motor mounts it cleaned up virtually all the drivetrain slop

this design "looks" like it would be better as it has some serious bushings incorporated to help fight any vibrations. the units ive seen so far were just solid metal units. where did you get this? id like to order one. -heath

yeah, im wondering how much it cost as well... are you going to install it soon? if so please let us know how it is, maybe we can get a GB going if its really that great. BTW, is the rubber very stiff? and how is it attached to the brace? do those bolts i see go through the bushing to the other side? the only thing id be a bit weary of is the fact that the metal its made of is rather thin... the ones a-spec sells is considerably thicker to resist torsional forces. -heath

the metal may be thinner, but is is channel stock, with bends in it. couple that with any sort of dampening like the bushing pictured, and it will be strong.

I already have a knightsports engine torque brace, rotary performance solid diff bushes, kgparts diff brace. I am fittinga strengthened power plant frame and this gearbox brace as the final addition, after putting a hole in my gearbox with a piece of gear cog wedged up against the hole. I am hoping this will help.

That's what the diff brace is for, to keep your diff in one piece

The rubber if it actually rubber is very stiff. I have rotary performance solid diff bushes and it seems as if the rubber on my gearbox brace is made out of the same thing. To touch or try and bend it's as solid as metal without being metal if you know what I mean.

You may have a point there especially with a stock diff, but I just fitted this new toy yesterday, I think it should help some.

You stick em on your shock you get better launches, you stick em on your body work you get better bhp, stick em in your engine bay you get better mpg.
