gear cetching to early
my friend currently doesnt have the internet so i am posing a thread for him and sense the search doesnt work i can do that eiter. well the problem is that he says when shifting into gears it seems to cetch a little to early. almost like hes releasing the clutch to early.i have driven i too but couldnt figure out how to make it stop. i tried going to high rpm's. it doesnt do it all the time but he said just recently its gotten worse.anyone know whats going on. does he need to adjust the clutch pedal or is it just the clutch? by the way he has a 93 stock touring.thanks guys

A couple of possibilities:
1. Air in clutch hydraulics.
2. Slave cylinder is failing.
3. Clutch disk/pressure plate/throughout bearing issue.
Suggest you try the lowest-cost approach first:
1. Bleed the clutch hydraulics.
2. Check/adjust clutch pedal height.
3. Then test/watch for any re-occurrence.
If the problem continues &/or gets worse and you are NOT experiencing unusual clutch slippage, then I recommend that you rebuild/replace both the clutch slave and clutch master cylinders. I would do this quickly too because slave cylinder leakage can rapidly progress to complete failure and can be very dangerous if it fails while you’re in traffic. You might consider installing a new flex line (SS line is available) and a speedbleeder, too.
