gauges too deep for flyrx7 pod

The gauges I'm trying to use (Autometer ES Series) are too deep for my flyrx7 pod. Are there any kind of spacers I can use to cover the parts of the gauges that stick out?

I believe Frank made some spacer for the longer gauge, like the one Prosport sells, maybe try to contact him?

Try to contact Frank, he'll still respond but not always right away. When I bought my pod from him it came with spacers.

Was looking at these last night. Do you have to contact him on here to buy one or is there a store online that sells them?

I'm not sure, I bought it used on the forum here from another member. Don't know how to contact the guy that made it. I'm probably gonna hit up Lowe's this weekend and see what some cheap PVC will look like after it's painted.

Try emailing him. I believe it's something like flyrx7@aol. When I emailed him last year about purchasing his pods he emailed back with a day or so

No idea. I've given up. I need one of these pods and they're pretty much non-existent.

If you hear from him, please do share.

Give prosport gauge pods a shot? I'm going to go that route with their 3 pod

At this point I'm willing to pay 3x what flyrx7 was asking for a new one if it's in like new condition.

He responded to my email. Here is the email

First of all, my apologies for having to use a form letter for my response. My inbox is filled with pod requests and you are not the only one waiting for a response from me.

All pods are out of stock at this time.

My intention is to always be making pods and having stock on hand, but pods are more a labor of love and are not the main focus of my business, therefore they always take a back seat to my actual contract clientele. I try to schedule a time slot to fit in a couple production runs a year, but inevitably a contract opportunity pops up that I can't say no to, and then the pod production gets bumped. This cycle seems to repeat itself over and over again and I'm always breaking my promises of when pods are supposed to be available. Then I get inundated with emails again looking for updates. When I don't have anything new to say other than it's going to take longer, I feel bad and I just kind of ignore the emails until my box is so full I can't stand looking at it. That is where I am at today, and the result is this form letter to everyone.

I know it's not a good business model to go about pods and resulting correspondence this way, and perhaps if I made more money doing them, or if they were for a greater market share vehicle instead of the minutely narrow market of the FD RX-7, they'd be a bigger priority, but like I said, it's more a labor of love, so it is what it is.

The best I can promise to everyone is that if you have the patience I will eventually make a pod for everyone that leaves a request and gets their name on the production list. The problems is always when. As it is right now, I'm doing my best not to bid any new work over the summer so that I can get my own domestic list squared away, and then fit in a pod production run or two. My intention would be by fall, but a lot of you know how my intentions get waylaid.

With that said, I apologize to everyone that feels strung along, and to say thanks for the many supporters who don’t' care how long it takes as long as they get a pod. I also want to apologize for taking so long to respond in some cases, but at least you know a bit more why. If after all that and you still want a pod, please respond with a request and part # and I will add you to the list.
Thank you.

Regards,
Frank

Does anyone know if he has a "waiting list" ? I do not mind paying in advance. Just need to figure out if I want a 3 or a 4 pod version. I might just have to email him too. Thanks!!
