Are there gauge faces or aftermarket complete gauge clusters that would match the colors of autometers cobalt gauges, here's my dash now as you can see its a bit off without having blue in the middle. hope the image shows up

Have you done a install of these before, though? I'm assuming it's like all other gauge plate installs right?

They are covers as far as I know there are no plate replacement except for the entire clusters from JDM company's. It's supposed to be hard to do because you have to remove the needle. I have a brand new set from NR been sitting in a box for not shure how nmany years.

Do a search you will get lots of info.. The defi D link series which is now out of production matches perfect. Im going to put some stewart warner gauges in my car, which also matches the interior and there cheap. Other names people will give you are VDO, omichi (not sure if thats how you spell it), the new line of greddy

^ I think he has the aftermarket gauges and wants the OEM gauges to match his new gauges. For an entire cluster they are vaialable but very expensive and the speedo is km.

Ya i saw that stuff from FDnewbie already, my only other options if the gauge covers don't work is to replace them with autometer independent gauges which is a pain to wire up but i've done it before on another car. Thanks again guys

Here's what I plan on doing. Any chance you have better pics of your gauges lit up. This set up is in my Corrado, taking it out and putting it in my FD, only if I can get the quad pod from flyrx7

I really don't have any better pics as of now, once i get back from classes and work I'll try taking some pics of them lit up. Btw, the stupid air/fuel gauge (which makes it look tacky with a gauge not lit up) doesn't light up i emailed autometer about it and they say it no longer comes with a white wire (which would be for the lighting on the cobalt gauge)

i'm pretty sure it would be way cheaper to get some other aftermarket gauges to match your stock cluster than put in a new cluster to match your aftermarket gauges. so unless you really like the blue, get some Omori gauges. you can adjust the colors on those so they'll match perfectly.

and i'm sorry to sound like a dick here... but nothing you can do will make your autometer A/F gauge not tacky, unless they've started making widebands? edit: oops, i guess they have... my bad

Actually Autometer previously just cut the "white wire" out of the production fo the a/f gauge, and i am not ready to go wit a wideband, gotta realize what stage im at. I prefer the blue color and its going to look a lot more custom and i think ill just go wit a setup like wptrx7 is doing. btw why does everyone have to be a dick can't we all just get along.

well i can understand not wanting to spend a few hundred dollars on a wideband when you don't need it... but putting in a narrow band A/F gauge, you may as well have a clock or a barometer or a compass or something, at least those would be useful. but hey it's your car, and as long as it's how you like it that's what matters.

True, i mean i really don't like the a/f gauge i just thought it would be lit up like the rest cause thats the way it used to be, darn autometer.

I wonder what it would look like if you shined blue LED light on the main cluster.

It won't make the values or ticks blue, but it should still give it a blue look (If you find the proper LEDs). No idea how it would look or even if it would work nicely. Easy to check though, just find something you have with a string blue LED (if you have those LED christmas lights, those have a nice strong blue tone to them).

Setup some LED's inside the cluster, splice power from the normal backglow light so they come on at low light levels, put some kind of reflector s.t. they direct all thier light at the gauges (Think like the parabolic reflector inside a flashlight). Hard part is getting a uniform look and hiding them s.t. they are not too noticible. Although it's quite DIY... hmmm ...

Maybe disconnect the backglow light.

I'm seriously wondering how this would look now... although lighting up the entire cluster and background may not be a good idea.

Covers look like the easiest option at $90USD.

Yea covers do sound the easiest i am just worried about removing the needle thats kind of why i was leaning towards just installing all independent autometer gauges

I don't even plan on using the a/f or boost gauge, so if anyone wants they are up for sale, $125 for both including shipping. they have never been wired up, I never got my Corrado up and running.

Others have said that covers (as long as the numbers match up) just slide right over your gauges.
