Funky A/c Issue? Need Help, Hotttttt!!!!!

Ok, my A/C is charged.
The compressor is kicking on,
the fans are coming on,
all fuses were checked,
it blows air, but hottt!!!

Everytime I turn on my A/C there is this hissing noise coming from under the dash on the passanger side. It doe not come on if just the fans are running, but as soon as I press the A/C button it sounds like there is a snake under my dash. I really need to get this running. Could something be clogged? I am sort of at a loss on this one. Please help!! haha

thanks,
-josh

Sounds as if you have a leak. Could be a seal that went bad or so. Take it to an AC repair shop and have them pressure test the system.

The hissing wouldn't be a leak or anything - a leak would be happening with the AC on or off.

Could be a problem with the expansion valve - it's under the dash in the evaporator core. If it was stuck open with debris or something, you wouldn't have proper AC functioning and it could make a noise.

^ This is sort of what I was thinking. I was assuming it had to do with that valve, but I didnt know if anyone knew of a way to fix this?

you need to put a set of gagues on the system to see if the valve is working or not. the high/low side pressures will tell alot.

with the ac running put your hands on the evap lines, both of them how do they feel?

the blend door may be malfunctioning allowing air through the heater core
