Full boost comes on then turns off??

Hmm... wtf,

Do new turbos take time to break in or somthing or do I have a leak???

I was driving, trying to get the car to boost and it would only hit 2psi. Then, giving up heading home I just gave it a little boost as I was getting off the highway and bam, it kicks in, 8 psi and I was flying. So, im like wow, hey it decided to work. So I get back on the highway to see how i like it, I'm getting on, getting ready to downshift into third thinking im gona take off and I boost to 2 psi again!!!! wtf is going on,

I notcied that my wastegate control actuator was a little tough to open and close when I had gotten the turbos a week ago. Could this be the reason I get full boost somtimes??? Maybe the door isnt opening all the way every time not letting the primary turbo spool??? I'm not sure whats going on, any help would be great.

what RPM are you shifting at? alot of times when shifting at changeover ~4500 RPM you will notice lack of boost. new chargers do not need a breakin time and if you are concerned about the wastegate control actuator give it a vaccum test and compare open and close points to the shop manual. i dont have my book with me now so i cant check for you. if your atuator is opening at the right psi then you have a leak.

What rpm is the engine at during this testing? be specific. Seq or non-seq? What are your mods?

non seq. at 3,000 to 4,500 rpms. I can genearally only get 2psi of boost. Occasionally at radom times, when I downshift from 5th to 4th at about 80mph, I get full boost... I dont know whats going on. If I am at a stop sign, and boost it to 30mph and then let go and just cruise, a large plume of blue smoke shoots out the back. I'm getting the feeling I'm not getting any boost from my primary turbo, maybe its the secondary but one of them isnt even kicking in it seems.

can somone plz hook me up w/ a good non-seq diagram I can double check mine with???

Thanks,

btw. am I missing any other wiring things other than the wastegate door that I cut out and the turbo precontrol flapper that I wired open??

i feel like the wastegate actuator isnt working or somthing.

thanks

If you cut out the wastegate door, the actuator definitely isn't working.
