Fuel Smell only under boost....

Its been getting worse, I only drive it about once a week, and have been hesitant since I have been smelling this. I dont wanna rule out the pulsation dampener, but wouldn't that cause a fuel smell at all times. I can be cruisin or drivin without hittin boost and not smell and gas smell at all, but once i get even 1 psi it smells

Have you replaced the large hose going to the brake booster? It has a one-way valve embedded in it that, if missing or failed, will produce this symptom.

your primary or secondary ijector o ring can be damaged, if u can even smell it under boost below 2800 rpm then its most likely teh primary ones, if its at higher rpms its prolly teh secondaries, how old is teh motor??

eh, the guy that replaced the engine was an idiot... and i didn't know anything about the car at the time, I have had to fix a lot of his mistakes. So there is a good chance he didn't do anything with the injectors....

I bought the car after immediately after the engine was replaced, from the mechanic that replaced it...

OK, once again. Fuel ONLY UNDER BOOST usually means the aluminum check valve that runs between the UIM and the Purge Control solenoid Valve is broke & is allowing boost to pressurize the charcoal canister.

If you search back you'll see prev. posts about this. It's right in front of the UIM & is visible once the pressure tank is pulled.

Luck.
Eric.

your secondaries might be leaking. could be from the valve body, o-ring, fuel rail gasket. it could also be one of the many other things pointed out. you gotta get it looked at by a shop experienced w/ fd's.
