Fuel: Sard injectors?

Hey everyone,
not to long ago I bought a set of sard injecotors. I also bought a primary fuel rail, but turns out the injector holes on the rail are to large for the injectors.

My question is, does anyone know what primary fuel rail will go with Sard injectors? I compared them to stock fc injectors and they are the same diameter, but stock fc rail wont fit on fd motor.

Any help is greatful.

Thanks,
Geoff

What type and cc are the injectors? Why did you buy an aftermarket primary fuel rail and who's is it?

I am sorry, I always think people know what I am talking about.

Top feed, 800cc. Came from fdnewbie, and the wacko fuel rail is from apneablue.

Any ideas?

I'm extremely confused....why didn't you just drop the stock 850cc secondaries into your primary rail....you just have to mill the rail down a little bit.

What kind of injectors is the rail from Apneablue designed for? The stock injectors are all side-feed.

Looks like those are for (A) type injector holes. I'm not shure if we use (B) type or what type is the rail you bought, but that would be a good question. Sard makes 660 side feed and they also make both a primary and secondary rail including resistors and bops. I beleive Power Enterprise makes 700 or 750 side feed injectors.

I guess I should explain my setup as well. opps

I am going single turbo(T04e). 1600secondaries and 800primaries Top Feeds, are what I am running.

I guess I was stupid. I bought rail when I didnt really know much, about 2 years ago.

No real info, but I didn't ask I just assumed.

Anyways, now I know what I need. I think the primary fuel rail on rx7store.net may work? Have any info on injector diameters? I might just email.

Thats not a bad fuel rail, except for that price. There must be a cheaper place.

oh, sorry I thought I read 700's. Must have been thinking of the Power Enterprise. I'm not shure what brand rail wacko is but you need to find out what size injector hole it has. It's possible if your injectors are similar to FC injectors then maybe you need to use a FC rail. That's just a guess since I don't know the size for FC nor do I know if it's possible to use a rail intended for the FC on a FD. Try contacting these guys tomorrow. http://kgparts.com/index.php?page=kgfuel

I said it earlier. Fc rail will not fit on fd motor. I measured the diameter of the injector and it is 1 cm.

Isn't there a standard size for topfeed injectors(500cc-1000cc)?

The rail I bought was just a rip off. I dont even want to think about it anymore.

So now I am stuck looking for a rail.

Does anyone run this rail? I am wondering the diameter of the injector hole.

That injector rail may be for domestic injectors. I had a set of 780cc injectors on my old FC that were big - I ended up drilling out the stock FC fuel rails to fit them. They were Delphi injectors, and I had to do a TON of dumb fab work to make them fit. They did work, but it was a royal pain.

These 800s that I have fit perfect into the fc fuel rail. They are actually smaller than my 1600s.

I think I am going to get a fc stock rail, and make some kind of adapter, because the fc rail won't bolt up. But I dont really want to do that, I want something that bolts up.

Without getting into details, I had the same questioning as to why he specifically wanted 800cc injectors. But I often find that ppl get offended if I question their purchase choice, since many a time they're working on custom applications w/ builders (or doing it themselves) who know more than I do. So I hint, but don't push.

Geoff, I've spoken w/ quite a few ppl, but have yet to find someone who knows...

Yes, I made a mistake, not fully getting informed about these injectors as well as the fuel rail. I guess I'm to trust worthly with people. Now I am in a hole that I need to dig myself out of.

I'm thinking about machining a primary fuel rail now, be it that I work at a machine shop, won't be to hard to get the job done. Why didnt I think of this before

call the shop (KGParts) and ask for Keith. We do have a primary rail that would be a "frankenstein" rail using a rail made for an rx8, with the brackets for an FC. That, or we could provide you with the right hardware to make your current rail work.
