Fuel pump and Injector upgrade necessary for 320 whp?
Hey all,
Just trying to get my power FC tuned, setup is single turbo garret t04e , Vmount IC, and target power is around 320~340 whp, with boost may be around 1 bar.
I am told by a tuner I must upgrade the fuel pumpand injectors, is this necessary for the power levels Im trying to achieve?
I thought factory system should be capable of that sort of power levels?
at the moment car is out putting 265whp only. on 0.65 ~0.7 bar of boost.
thanks

you absolutely need to upgrade your fuel. You'll be maxing out the stock setup trying to push that much power. definitely upgrade the pump and injectors (a set of 1200s or 1300 secondaries will do the trick), would also recommend doing the fuel pump relay fix while you're at it.

Right, then my next question is what size injectors are suitable for that sort of power, and do I need to upgrade both primary and secondary, or just secondary is enough ?
and lastly do I need high or low impedance injectors, if there is any difference at all between them, and what ours cars use.
thanks

Hi.
Your TO4e is going to be near its limit at 340whp. It's a good choice for street because it will boost early (for a single).
Because it's a small single you might get away with the stock fuel system with the addition of a pump and a FPR for 320whp but injector duty will be on the high side. It's the power that is the important factor here not the fact of single or twins.
AFR and injector duty will let you know for sure as has been pointed out but plenty of people run their twins at around that power level with minimal fuel mods.
