Fuel Pump
Hey what do you guys think about the RP Competition Fuel Pump? I was thinking about going that route, or get the Apex on like Rich did. Actually advice from Rich would be great also, since you have the apex pump. Of course the apex pump is like 150 more though. I'd also like for people who have the rp pump to drop a few lines. Thanks.

RP Pump is a Denso pump that is drop-in. The Apexi requires modifications to fit and is probably noisier. The question is, do you really need the extra capacity of the Apexi?

Hey Tyler you're right, as always. Thank you for your advice. Did you know, I've taken all of your advice and listened to them. I remember the question about coils, you saved me money there, and bought a PFC. I think SWIFT springs and some good shocks with SWIFT sway bars should do huh? There is more advice you gave me , I don't remember. Listen to the veterans people. They know what they're talking about. Anyway, now that I've decided on the RP Competition pump, who has it? LOL, what do you guys think about it?

Tyler, the Apexi pump is just as quiet as a stock pump or supra pump, and the modifications are minimal. I bought mine from fritz already on the tree and ready to drop in, but I studied it before installation and it appeared to be almost the same install as the supra pump, with the exception of a 2 inch length of fuel hose connecting the hard line to the pump.
As far as extra capacity, it all depends on your future plans. I'm pretty happy knowing that I will never have to mess with my fuel pump again

If the RP is just a supra pump then the difference is i think in the 10 hp range on the dyno between pumps, supra being a slightly better pump. I just installed a walbro and was impressed on how easy it was to install. They both peak out at about 400ish hp and start to drop fuel pressure.

their old pump was the supra tt pump, which in my car supported ~400 rhwp before pressure began dropping, and their chart claims the new pump supported 25 more horsepower, so make your own conclusions I suppose. One thing he did tell me is that they sent off all 3 pumps referenced in that graph to have the testing done independently.
I was hoping for more info, but that is what I found out.

I've already got something being ordered by Ramy! Then, when it's time, I'm going to get a full seat conversion from him! YES! So does anyone have the SARD fuel pump? So Rich, you think 850 primaries with 1,300 secondaries would be all I'd ever need for injectors? I'd still be using twins.

Also, regarding your fuel pump, why not go with something more established and widely used?
I mean, get the jdm stuff where it counts, where it's visible and you can get ooohs and aaahs . When it comes to a fuel pump, why mess around? get the apexi bnr32 like all of the cool kids have
