On second thought, My car died after it felt like it was running out of gas. It has been feeling kind of sluggish and I have had to push the gas pedal to the floor sometimes to crank it (on hot days). I was going to replace the plugs and wires to correct this, but after it died when you try to crank the car the engine just turns over and never fires. I was thinking either no gas or no spark and the way that it felt right before it died (like I was running out of gas) made me think that it might be the fuel filter that was bad. Any ideas pleas HELP!!

I doubt if it's the filter unless you have lots of miles on the original filter. It's probably spark plug or an exhaust leak in the manifold. Possibly some vac leak also. Any engine code? Do a search on how to check ecu code if don't know how to do it yourself.

Could also be a leaky injector causing mild cases of flooding. Just a thought.

I read a post not to long ago of someone using some aftermarket (not made for RX7) fuel filter that was cheaper and suppously better. Do a search and you might find it.

stock fuel filter is the best for stock location. bosch has a filter that requires relocation and cleaning every few thousand miles.
