Need turbo info
My stock turbos are bad. The secondary is blowing alot of oil and I found metel fillings in my intake elbow. I pulled the turbos off and the cast housing that bolts to the exhuast manifold has cracks in it. The cracks are only between the ports and dont lead to the outer part of the manifold, Is this part reusable or is it junk? So I am at a point where I need to decide what I am going to do. I have a t03/t04 (turbonetics) sitting in my shop that I had on my old Honda. How would this turbo work for a nonseq set up? The ultimat ? is since funds are some what tight right now (I have about $1800) should I rebuid the seq for about $300 and invest the rest in a power fc and upgrade the turbos later (way later) or should i go for the t03/t04 that already have the wastgate and BOV for. If I go with the t03/t04 what can I expect from it? I have posted a question about the t03/t04 under the single section but only hits and nor responses yet.

Well you'll need the Power FC if you switch out the turbos anyway (or some other ECU) so I'd say rebuild the stockers and get the PFC.
I'm not sure what you mean by the t03/t04 being a good non-seq, since it's a single. Non-seq is the twins basically functioning as a single. So i guess a single is sorta like non-seq, but you'd need all sorts of other plumbing to go with it that would cost a lot more (unless you make it yourself.)
Id still say go with the stock turbos. Really good power can be made with them, and if you have the cash to spring for a PFC, they can do even better.

Twin turbos are more fun anyway...Also I dont think ive ever seen a turbo that didnt have cracks where it bolts to the manifold, rotarys just create too much heat I think
