Fuel Cell

Hey, is anyone running an aftermarket fuel cell in their 3rd gen? If so can youu post up your setup and pictures. I am looking for a setup that I can still drive on the street so I need atleast a 15 gallon fuel cell. I also want a sumped fuel cell since this will be a drag racing setup. Also, does anyone know what Ohm's resistance the stock fuel level gauge operates on?

Thank You,
Phil

Ours is a 10 gallon, but you get the idea. You could just as easily put in a larger one. The stock hatch floor/tire well has been removed and a aluminum sheet floor put in its place. The cell is mounted with two brackets underneath, seen in the first pic, and sits basically flush with the floor. It is sealed with silicone and covered with the stock carpet. There is no evidence other than the two visible vent lines.

What brand fuel cell is it?

What brand fuel level sender are you using?

Thanks,
Phil

I'll blame this on a brain fart, but what is the actual benefit of a fuel cell as opposed to just having a sumped stock tank?

I don't recall the brand off hand, it was out of a summit catalog. Summit brand??? It was around $210 I want to say.
There is no fuel level sender. The tank is just always kept full

I am going to use something like a 15-22 gallon fuel cell with a bladder, I was going to go custom but the guys don't have a bladder for it which is required for certain races. I am using the Fuel Safe brand. I am having a custom twin turbo set up with dual piping and dual exhaust so I need to rip out my gas tank to fit it, thats why I'm using a fuel cell.
