Front Bumper Gap

Hey folks. I took of the front bumper to get painted and when I put it back on there seems to be a larger gap than before I took it off. Any way to correct this?

Did you just remove the bumper? Nothing else?? Pictures would help please.

I sometime get the bumper stuck but only because I left the screws in place after removal so I don't lose them.

Just check the side nuts and top bolts. Maybe yours hitting some loose wires and plugs.

Yes. All I did was remove the bumper. I don't have before pics, but I know it was a lot tighter around the hood and headlights. I don't see how you could mess up the alignment on the bumper when the side bolts are very tight tolerence and no way to move bumper in any direction when secured.

Any ideas folks?

When it was being painted, did you heat bake it to dry or left it overnight? It could have been hung or had tension on part of the bumper while it was drying.

you can try working it out with a heat gun and pushing from the other side to have it bend up a bit more.

good luck OP

Did you change the color of any parts you painted? Or just a repaint?

Your exactly right. I hung the bumper from the midle to dry overnight. WOW never thought these bumpers would do this....Live and learnn I guess. I would re-heat but that won't happen since the paint is actually Plati Dip...That would met pretty easy...Thanks for the reply.
