Friend looking at a 93 rx7 need help!

Hey, my friend is looking into a 93 rx7 for $1500, but there is a problem ....When you turn it on it will stay on for about 10 minutes then it will shut down because its over heated. Now I know if it is something simple to fix this could be a hell of a good deal plus its got $1000 rims. Also i know that 3g's are kindof prone to alot of problems so anyone got any ideas?

ahh you mean it will only run for 10 mins or so. yes that could be troublesome--but an fd with out a motor will still sell for 5-8k

Umm.... If it weren't in Washington I'd ask you for directions and say I'd tell you what's wrong with it later.. lol

Any FD is a steal for $1500.00, hell even if it didn't have motor it'd be a steal. You didn't describe the problem in depth enough for me to understand though. Sorry.

hell yea, buy the car for $1500, buy a used engine cheap, send it to bnr to give it a rebuild and street port, plus some bnr stage 3 turbo's all for about $5500, and bam a $7000 400+hp fd.

Unless the car is thrashed, it's a good deal. You just need to decide if you want a car that may require a lot of work. Do you have the time/money to fix it? If you don't, don't buy it!

Even if your friend never drives it he can part it out and make his money back many times over.

It's a 1990 model, there are no R1 or Tourings.
