To FPD or not to FPD ?

Regarding a 94 FD.

I have read alot of mixed reviews on the Fuel Pulsation Dampener (FPD).

I am in the process of redoing the fuel setup on my buddies car, and can easily remove the FPD on the primary rail while I'm @ it.

I know what it does, but is it "really" needed. Even though it's not my car, I treat it like it's mine while working on it.

Thanks all.

Does the fuel regulater that you are using have a FPD built in. I know the higher end ones like areomotive have this. No sense in have two FPD's

The one I am using is a SARD unit...he purchased a "Kit" from a-spec that had the the secondary rail/injectors/fittings/lines.

From my understanding the feed enters the primary rail, exits into the secondary rail out into a fpr back to the return.

If you use the link I gave you in the last thread, it removes the FPD. You shouldn't require it with most aftermarket FPRs.

I actually have that printed out.

However I have seen since I have been researching this fuel setup that some keep and other eliminate the fpd.

Just wondering what the general idea was.
