my car came with something that looked similar.it looks like a little key card that is supposed to go into the connector. my car will not start at all with out it. scared the **** out of me a few times when I knocked it out of place.

for anti-theft. they have a little key card. when you park the car, remove the card, and it won't start. put the card in and it starts. If yours starts without the card in, then it's already been bypassed.

so taking it out shouldnt be a problem. be sides i only taps into one wire and when its gone and the one wire reconnected then i dont see why i wouldnt work. if the anti theft isnt there any more then there shouldnt be anything to stop the car from starting? right?
