Well the found out late today that the car was found. From Burbank it was found down in Inglewood/Lennox....basically the ghetto whut whut!

I haven't seen it yet but the guy at the impond says EVERYTHING is stripped. They took the motor, interior even the friggin windows......geez you think profefssionals?

Thanks all for they support...hopefully the insurance company will give me some money for my parts but we'll see. The adjuster was really nice.

I am trying to find the ******* and the best way is with the rims. I had 18x8 18x10 VOLK GTC with Toyo T1-S on them. There are not that many of these in the US yet and Mackin/Volk is helping me trace all the rims.

If anyone is offered a set of used GTC let me know because i can trace EVERY set in the US right now. So if they say the got the rims from such and such shop i can verify if 1) the shop is a Volk dealer 2) if they actually got the rims 3) mackin can ask their vendor who the rims were sold to to verify.

Remember even possion of stolen goods is a crime. Mackin will also be checkin at all car shows to verify too. There are roughly 20 set total in the US right now and that's ALL of them not just FD.

Are there any other parts that are marked, just incase i run into them online or something?

Let me be the first to reply here, so you found the car damm if it was my car I would sweat some tears if it was my car look at it before and look at it now. So does the car has body damage man why do they stripped it and they should just sold the whole car and have it ship somewhere, well I know that is all parts and they can sell them really fast. **** so what is your next step , are you going to keep the car and built it or are you going to get another car and built it. Hope you caught that thief and seriously if I know who did it that ****** is going down for sure man I wisk I could of help but I am here in the east coast but my best guess would be that all the parts are sold already to some car dude cause those parts are good stuff so it sell fast.

I think my insurance is going to total the car so I'm gonna have to buy another one. Think I found one already but we'll see. I actually think they left my hood and the suspesion. WOO HOO. But i won't know till i see the car.

Wouldn't you die if a bunch of parts just showed up on thepartstrader and ebay? Actually that's not funny, so some people should keep an eye on those two places because if they are low-lifes then I doubt that they visit this board often(or maybe so) and I doubt that they know you are spreading the word like you are. And they might try to get rid of some things online, you never know how dumb they might be. I'll keep an eye out over here, although I doubt they would end up in PA, but ya never know.

Heres an idea I read about, and now use, to help recover stolen wheels. The next time you have tires put on your wheels fill out 3 by 5 note cards with your contact info and write on them that if someone is doing work on these wheels in the future and the info on the card does not match the info on the work order they may be stolen and should call you and the police. Put the cards in Zip Lock bags and have them put into your tires before they mount them on the wheels.

and about the rims...i would post everywhere about thoes..supra forum, twinturbo.net.. ..etc. Thoes rims wont only fit an rx7 right? Why not alert the whole import seen...

Well i dont know..maybe that would be bad too...maybe dont listen to me..im in the process of a hose job so im a little stressed...

Sorry to hear about the car man. It's a shame you put so much time and effort into customizing your car for it to be taken by a bunch of chumps. good luck with the insurance company and getting what you deserve.

just searched those two sites for anything related to his car and found nothing. . also, i am searching most major forum's FS section for the rims.

i'll keep my eye out around here too. stolen parts move quickly, and i wont be shocked to see (if any) parts make it up to the Bay. there is a pretty strong import scene up here, and i guarentee i'll search every FD for anything even resembling a part off of your car at my next local HIN (April 27). i'll also keep my eye out at the illegal's.

i hope we make some progress, Chris.

Thiefs are stupid! Something will show up. Atleast they found yours.

I found the ******* driving my car like 4-5 months after they stole it, they just put different rims on it and painted it another shade of blue. Still had my motor (swapped), radio, and all the same aftermarket ****. They even had some different plates on it that were also stolen. Idiots.

Maybe it's just in the movies but hopefully they will get ripped off and shot selling the parts to another punk...feels good thinking that anyhow.

I know parts of my Honda went to poop heads that had junked ones. Honda is similar to Jeep Wrangler that the higher models were just added options that snapped, pluged or screwed in.

I don't think the wheels will go on another rx-7, but if they fit a Honda or something no one will notice.

Some of the stuff will be on 7's from the people that stole it. They don't want to use their own money so when they go shopping, they help themselves to other peoples stuff.

The flashy stuff might go to other countys where it's not be looked out for. It's a good idea to post the other forums. It would be good to let the racing shops know to.

* Hopefully they will get car jacked and shot, then sent to jail, then booty raped, then stabbed, then beat up by the gaurds, then released and run over by a car, then the car blows up, then it gets hit by lightnening, then Godzilla takes a big ol' dump on their heads!

Jesus.....that is horrible. Rotary Knight I hope whatever can work out for you in this situation does. I can't even imagine what I would do if this happened to me. My Z28 is basically still stock with the exception of some exterior cosmetic mods. But even if I had put a little money into performance and it got stolen I might be turned away from the car seen all together. I love cars but I just wouldn't have the money to start on another car with what the insurance would give me and what my current income provides. And were not even talking about the level of stuff you had in your car. It's just not fair...you had the alarms and all and it didn't stop them. Well....good luck to you and anyone who has ever had anything stolen from there car.

Potatobbq's rims are his so don't beat him up. He has one of the other sets that came on that first shipment.

The rims that were stolen will fit a supra, 300zx and lexus. But again there are only 20 sets in the US right now so if you see any ask questions.

I'll know tomorrow what hasn't been jacked and i'll take pics and post them so you can all see the agony. CAN"T BELIEVE THEY TOOK THE WINDOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your parts are probably not for sale, probably already stocked and stored at a "reputable" body shop just waitng for either A)an fd comes in needing repair or B) They buy back your totalled ride from the insurance auction with salvage title(but now its a clean title and not stolen one) put the parts that they originally stole from it back on-(they now have a car for about 3k=labor) and sell it for 15-20k or drive it around and it is all legit.

I would find out from the police if it is possible to start an indepth investigation on this (I know your dealing with the LAPD here but) due to special circumstances on your car1)its a show car(this plays into the import scene heavily)2)there really aren't that many of these around-
Maybe they will follow the guys who buy it at auction and find all off your parts and your car- then we all sing cuum-by-yah and "so happy together"

Might be worth investigating a little further on your own with some "friends", sorry to hear about the loss.
