fog light/defroster switch

can either the defrost or foglight switches be modified to run interior lighting? i suspect i would have a better chance of the foglight switch working because it has the separate on/off position (button style), where the defrost has click on/click off (toggle style). could i wire additional switches in the vacant (currently have the stock plugs) areas.

also if any1 has any ideas where to get some xtras.

i will probably paint them black so they blend in, and appear stock to the untrained eye. (basically i dont want toggles that are obvious from a mile away.)

The fog lamp switch is an on/off switch, and would work just fine for a lighting switch.

You can try in the classifieds - but they don't pop up very often and often cost close to the new price when they do.

I just rewired the foglight switch to my HID lights. Works awesome. I just need to remember to turn them off...

you could probably use the defroster switch as well, but would require a series of relays to have the on/off effect. The fog light switch would be simpler.

Another alternative is to find a decent looking switch, such as a black push button and mount it in the blank slot. I did this with a momentary push button and mounted it flush with the blank piece, so that I can easily toggle between low and high boost on my Profec B spec 2. It looks very nice.
