FMIC & Rad install Cost

Just thought I'd ask.

How much would you pay or how much have you paid a shop to install a FMIC and a Radiator mounted in the upright position, removing the hard lines of your dual oil coolers and replacing them with steel braided hoses ??

You are looking at a 6 hour job. It really comes down to the amount of labor the shop charges. Shops around here charge between 60-80 an hour.

Well I got my APEXi FMIC which also came with the APEXi intake, BOV welded onto one of the IC pipes and battery relocated to the rear and an AST elimination kit all installed, it took about 8 hours but I was given an AWESOME deal, $325 plus tax. I dont know how that happened, the shop charges $75 an hour but I was given a quote of $350 from the former person in charge of sales and when it came time to get it installed he was no longer there, the mechanics were confused I think and only charged me $250 for labor and some misc.. dollars for parts. This of course was an extraordinary situation so be expected to pay $500+.

I installed my greddy FMIC, PWR rad, intake and mini battery. It took me 2 1/2 FULL days to complete. It is a very involved project. If you can find someone to do it for 400 I'd go for it. anymore than that and I'd suggest doing it yourself-it builds character

My greddy was a 2 row. I don't think the IC thickness for the greddy setup would make much of a difference since it is positioned in front of the frame crossbar. Regardless, you have to install lower rad mount extensions anyway. If you need more room to clear the pipes ect just drill the holes for the extenders a little closer to the firewall, but be sure to leave enough room for your intake. I imagine this is true with any kit that repositions the radiator.
