Flame Kit

was thinking about the notorious and ruthless way of my FD motor spitting unburned fuel like every other rotary does.

Came the idea of installing a flame kit.would it work like it does on piston engine or would it burn everything at the back cause its throwing more fuel concentration than a piston engine does?

suggestions please

Suggestion

An artificial flame kit is one of the lamest "mods" you can do. The equivalent of stickers and neon lights, IMO...

Why don't you buy a nice ECU, instead?

i was just thinking about a flame kit, and the idea that will it throw more furiously than it does with a piston engine.

Oh my!! someone joined us from the world of Civic...

If you want flames, take all your cats off, replace it with straight pipes, put a fuel pressure regulator, increase full presure, and go for a ride.. I guarantee you'll throw flames.. Which would also be the cheapest way to do it (without stand alone). LMAO!!

Just so you know, most FD owners DON'T want to throw flames..

Yeah, it was pretty ridiculous before I found a better map for it. I couldn't go to 4500 rpms without shooting enormous flames behind me. Took care of that problem (thank God)!

And I was coming up on a TII, so it would have been ok if I hit him

just disable the valve on the Intake manifold that is next to the turbo stick on the intake manifold , and you will have big flames

In case I burn my rear bumper with that , but it is a race car with race engine so ...

Flamer

First off you shoud be more consern about increasing your power than just lame flames. A well tuned rotary will push out a few good flames when coming down off higher rpms..with a good after market exaust...No cats, fun as hell at night!watch out for the fuzz.

A "well-tuned" rotary shouldn't shoot any flames...

If you blow flames when you let off the throttle, you have too much fuel being consumed during vacuum.
