I mean I love to have flames from my Rx-7 , actually every car that I tune up I left the vacum of the fuel map at 6000 a litlle bit rich so I get nice flames from the exhaust, i think that is cools a liltlle bit the combustion camber , and the turbo , etc, and if you notice at the races all the cars get nice flames from the exhaust.
But I will not buy a kit for get flames from my rx7 if it is standar!!!
It like install a HKS blow off in a 100% standar car , just looks and sound very bad

if you have a flame kit... would that make you invulnerable to our insults about your flame-thrower kit? i think not....
flame-on-deceleration is not cool.... its power and efficiency that you COULD have if you were tuned much better, but since you can see it, you're wasting it in your exhaust

You don't need a flame kit. They scare me actually. I would recommend every FD owner to carry a fire extinguisher with them. I knew someone who with a stock car with just an exhaust set the back end of their car on fire.

Garret I'm surprised at you agreeing with a member with 5 post ! ! ! While a rich tune might indicate an improper tune ROTARIES with or with out a proper tune by nature waste allot of fuel. These cars will shoot flames with an open exhaust. Depending on how the car is shifted you can almost always get a flame during the shift in any gear over 2nd. If you've ever been to the Rolex series when they ran the 4 rotor you'd always see flames when down shifting and gear changes. Glad to see your still around and who know's maybe we'll find a point in time to get together. Jack
