Buy a new one on ebay=$30.00

It sounds like the plastic cable snapped. You basically just need to buy a new one. I don't they can be fixed.

You can buy just the mast, if I remember correctly the cable comes with it.

Question Antenna Mast

Yeah, I have the same problem. I took the mast off and found the nylon belt snapped. The motor still works. Where are you folks ordering the mast, and for how much? I've read in previous antenna threads that they're $50 to $100 depending on where you order?

Talking Antennae Antenna

My antenna wasn't working also. I went ahead and took out the entire power antenna assembly. When I took it apart, the plastic rack (ribbed white plastic strip) was broken. This is the case the majority of the time. You have to buy the antenna mast, plastic rack included. While you're at it, try to hook up a 6-12v power source to the motor to make sure it's not also a problem. Unlike other FD parts, this is one piece I would recommend you get new from the dealer. Purchasing an old/used one could make you end up with the same problem not too far along the road. Plastics get brittle with age. Good luck.

The antenna will get about 95% reception without the mast going up. I just unhooked the motor connector and voila. Never goes up and gets bent or stuck when it's raining/snowing cold.

Or........from Pep Boys you can pick up a Metra OEM Toyota replacement mast #CKWPWRTY866 for a replacement.

You'll have to trim about a foot off the plastic "tail" with sidecutters and then trim it with a utility knife to give it little sharper tip, but it works great. (Although it does stick up a little when retracted.) $13.99. For $30 I would go with the OEM from Mazda since it fits perfectly. I'm sure Ray at Malloy will give you a better price. Guess it depends how **** you are.
