Yeah, definately downpipe. The stock has a pre-cat in it which is like sticking a million watt heater in the engine bay.

Not a bad start...but yeah, you really should run an aluminum AST or delete it altogether.

Rotary extreme isnt making those anyomore, well atm neways...so youd have to try to find one used(good luck!). And the stock radiator is fine IMO, ive run in stop in go traffic many times(100+ outside) and never over heated...the only thing i dont like about the stocker is the plastic end tanks, which can crack..espec if you hit a large rock

gauges are installed...took about 2 - 2an a half hours ....(buddies stopped over and drank beer with me )...
was easy enough, luv the gauges ....ill update with pics tomorrow sometime, camera battery is dead...
took it for a ride, and never hit 10-8-10...hit like 7-6-7(somethings wrong) ill do some research and see what i can come up with...other wise ill start a new thread with pics or a vid of the gauge...

after the downpipe, radiator, and ast stuff you should redo all your silicone vacuum lines. it will probably be very challenging since your still on the sequentials. check all your check valves and solenoids and see that theier working fine. after i think you should get an exhaust temp gauge to fill up that third hole.

Looks good. I would definatley do the downpipe, aluminum radiator, metal ast or eliminate it all together, and a vacuum hose job. Any of the vendors on here such as the rx7 store or gotham racing usually have these parts in stock. The Rotary extreme v mount was a nice setup, but the company is no longer in business.

my personal preference is one gauge (boost - and definitely defi) - which isn't 100% necessary, but nice to have in front of your eyes.

Instead of gauges I would have gone for a PFC - all the monitoring, without the clutter. And that solves your future tuning and boost control issues.

Cat-back, if you haven't got that already.

Rad isn't such a big issue, if it's in good condition - upgrading it together with the ic saves doing the install x2

Id buy the manual from Ray at Malloy Mazda. I can almost guarantee he will give a better price than your local mazda dealer.

The online manual is stickied at the top of the 3rd gen section...

Other good things to do for the car:
- Replace Fuel Pulsation Damper (if not done in the last few years)
- Replace all coolant hoses (use Mazda OEM hoses)
- Bleed brakes completely
- Change gear oil, diff oil (I suggest Redline MT-90 for tranny, and any good 80w-90 or 75w-90GL-5 for the diff)
