First Problem (DAMN LOL)

Im posting this because I don't know what the hell is wrong with my car and it won't turn on so I can't take it to a shop, and I don't want to toe it because It won't even move. I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered anything like this, like I said before symptoms are , car won't start and does not move at all when the car is in neutral and brake down. Little more info is the brakes are as hard as a rock, I was wondering if it was the starter but I really don't know how to test that. Key will turn all the way but nothing happens not even any type of clicking. Thanks Guys

sounds like you left your e-brake on for to long and the pads are fused to the rotors. how long has it been sitting?

and it prob wont start since the battery is dead.

are you bringing the car out of winter storage?

Like stated before, check the battery, battery terminals, and connections.

Everything said above + brakes are as hard as a rock from no vacuum in the brake-assist chamber - they'll be normal once it starts.

yes all the lights turn on, and i put a front mount intercooler on and did not relocate the battery, and one of the belts kinda melted a part of the battery but we did try to jump it and it still wouldn't start. I drive the car maybe once a week I live in florida so I don't have to worry about the winter. the battery was not melted that bad so I don't think it was that and like I said all the power does turn on I just wish I knew what the hell was going on

does it crank?...if the car dosnt move even when the e brake is down it might be internal damage to the transmission. i use to have a h22 swapped civic. few of my synchros were screwed so it was pretty hard to get it started.

i would guess starter or the ring gear on the flywheel. get it taken to a 3rd gen mechanic. that sounds like your best bet to me

I will try but I have to wait a little bit but would there be any other reason to why it doesn't even move, I mean before it wouldn't start the car was driving fine I mean it had no signs of trouble it was ideling better than ever and it just seemed 100% ok thats why this is so weird that it just stopped working. This just sucks. Another question is (is this common?)

if you get nothing when turning the key, but you do get dash lights, start by checking your clutch switch. If that's not broken, try cleaning your ignition switch. If that doesn't fix it, buy a new ignition switch.

Like DaveW said, once you get the car started, the brakes should disengage and you should be alright. They probably became pressurized from you keeping your foot on the brake while trying to start the car.

It's behind the clutch pedal stick your hand up there, you'll feel it.

it could also be that the factory anti theft is not disarming if your car is equipped with the anti theft. The factory anti theft disables the signal to the starter relay.

I'll send you a PM. The easy way to disable the factory alarm shouldn't be posted in the open.

I wonder if the starter is getting a full 12 volts. A few years ago, my FD had dash lights and all and wouldn;t make a sound at all....USUALLY after it had been driven in hot weather (I also live in Florida),

And like others have posted, I thought my Clifford alarm starter kill was malfunctioning.......so I went back & forth with the alarm installer and Mazda (while under warranty). No solution.

Then (after I found my dedicated mecahnic) it finally did it in front of him (lol..you know how cars are), and he did some checks and found out I was getting only getting 10.7 - 11.3 volts or something at the starter..and told me that I could be losing voltage at any of several relays. So he did something(?) and told me I'd ALWAYS get 12 volts at the starter. And I haven't had the problem since.
Maybe this will help some...I dunno...

Problem solved

I really don't know how to explain this, but im sure there are some of you out there that might know what the hell im talking about... Under the clutch there was button I guess you can call it or a gromet or something (im sorry I really don't know) but when I was engaging the clutch it was not stoping it was going str8 through the carpet so we popped the clutch in and held the (whatever )in place with a finger and the car started, we let it go car would not do anything, so the fix was a bolt with a nut and it now runs fine with no problems, and im back to loving it again. Thanks guys for all the help and im so sorry my explanation really didn't target anything lol

Quick question... when my 7 was out of commission I kinda started going back to my z and now I want to do all this stuff to the Z buttttt... my question is if you guys had both cars what would you do? go back to the 7 and continue buying all the parts or would you make your Z faster?
