Question Finish putting my Turbo back, need procedure on what to do b4 i start her up!

This is my first major work for me... I started wiv changing all the vaccum hose and did the simplified seq-setup... While i was in there, i change all the necessary gasket and o-ring of the turbo. Pheww... Now its all back together!! YaY...

I change new oil, oil filter, flush the radiator and will flush my fuel since it has been sitting for 4 months now...

So what do i need to do b4 starting her up?? Do i need to follow any procedures?? Any advice or links will be much appreciated.
Thanx... im so ExCiTeD...

You shouldn't need to flush the fuel. I would pressure test the fuel system if you haven't done so already - there's a terminal in the diagnostic connector you jumper to make the fuel pump run with the key in the On position. That will make sure you don't have any fuel leaks - fuel leaks are Bad Things.

Really, just check to make sure everything's good to go and fire it up. Once the car is running, check everything for oil and water leaks.

Good luck,
Dale

4 months isn't that long, especially since it's in a sealed tank. Heck, my car sat for a year and a half, and it fired right up on that old gas.

If you're worried about it, go get a gas can and put some fresh gas in there as well. But, I think you'll be fine.

Pressure test the system for about a minute, all the while looking and smelling for fuel. If you don't see anything, you're good to go.

It should be around 35-38 psi.

I'm surprised that gas turned bad after only 3 months! That's nuts! I've NEVER seen that in all the ancient cars I've worked on .

Most times gas just turns to varnish and smells god-awful .

well, in a car that is really picky about detonation, a few bucks for new gas is a wash

I start cranking and cranking but it wont start!?! have i forgotten to do something??

**few puff of smoke coming out of the exhaust, but not much**

I've check the spark plug cable, they seems to be in order. What size socket are the plugs!?! tanx

I did a lot of searching and found out that the Hold light might be on due to low in AT oil... my car is still on jack stand so that might cause the Hold lights to start blinking!?!

am going to check on the plugs in the morning to see if i flooded the car... What else should check??
