Finding FDs in Salvage Yards?

I'll be traveling back and forth from TN to FL on I-75. Would love to find some salvage yards along the way that have FDs.

Anyone know of an easy way to find out who has what? I thought I'd seen a part search engine for salvage yards before, but now can't find anything like that.

Thanks for any help.

Typically, these cars don't languish in salvage yards at all, it seems. I know of the 3 yards here in the Wichita area, they don't have ANY, and said they don't keep them on the rare occasion they do come in.

try car-part.com and if they have parts for the rx7 then they may have the car.

ive never seen a fd in any junk/salvage yard. ive seen fc's and fb's but if one was in a salvage yard i would buy it and fix it or sell it but i doubt you will see one. most people who do light damage to them fix um or part them out and the ones that go to the yard and are way beyond fixing, and are mostly crushed within days

If you want to take a detour along I-4 there is an RX-7 boneyard in Florida, but I hear his parts are expensive.

It's pretty unlikely to find FDs at junkyards. I had a chat with a local junkyard and he had gotten hold of FDs in the past. He says the good parts are gone in days.
