I have no idea what you're talking about - as by the lack of responses neither does anyone else.

Call fighters and ask them about whatever you're trying to ask here.

Not trying to be an a**hole but I seriously have no idea what you're referring to. Download the FSM and memorize it.

ok
So I think he purchased an intake setup which fits the stock rubber hose system and I think he's questioning wether the CRV ( which he's calling the COV ) will now be blocked off .

If there is a hole in the back of your " fighter " intake that the CRV hose can connect too then do it , if there aint no hole , just vent it to the engine bay.

if that aint wat yer on about then buggered if I know what yer on about

I have the Fighter's intake. Both valves now vent to the atmosphere. No filters, although it is supposed help reduce the risk of oil being blown around the engine bay if you have them. I'd use the filters if you already own them.

Intake is great, just be sure you have the top one angled correctly to keep it from hitting the hood.

The CRV vents constantly when the car is not under load or below 4000 rpms. If you want to reduce some of that noise, get some pre-formed heater hose which will take a 90 degree bend down so you can vent it towards the ground in the engine bay.

+1 to that. I put preformed heater hose on both the crv and bov and aimed them down and out of the engine bay. That way the noise is reduced and any oil is not sprayed around my engine bay.

here is their website:
http://www.fighters-garage.com/rx7.html

pics of their setup:

my 2 cents:
if you're using the stock bov/crv - i would DEFINITELY put small breather filters on them, the crv at minimum. the stock bov/crv have been known to leak, and under vac they will suck in unfiltered air.

i can't remember the diameter of the stock bov/crv - 1" maybe? check before you order...

i would get one or two of these for the bov/crv:

additionally, you can just build this kit yourself (for less money...) - that's what i did on my previous FD (before upgrading to the M2 airbox)...

here are the parts you need:
$37.99 (eBay, free shipping) - '93 - '95 Rx-7 Polished Intake Pipes
$31.03 (eBay, free shipping) - K&N Filter Part #: RD-0720 (x2)
$0.00 - Intake Heat Shield (make it yourself - you can download the template from this post or this alternate link...)
--------
Total cost: about $100 (without breather filters)

if you have the air pump still, you can get a moo silencer or make one yourself using breather filters. you also will want to add a breather for the air pump intake (like i did in the photos above)

you can also ad some split rubber hose or weather molding to the edge of the heat shield if you like. i did that when i ran this setup, but i don't have any photos.

And sign up for BING.com and get 8% off if you buy with Buy it Now. It's great. I bought my Exedy Dual plate clutch when it was double back to school cashback. $200 bucks off!

I love this intake setup but the only thing that concerns me, is that in the picture I have below, (Red Circle) the A/P hard line seems to be either capped off or filtered. I know that there supposed to be an air hose that hooks up to the air box, and this line leads down to the secondary catalytic converter for smog purposes. I live in California where smog laws are horrible, but I managed to legally get my FD to pass smog, but I don't wanna mess that up! Will capping off/ filtering this connection compromise the functionality of the factory A/P?

That hoses releases the excess air from the airpump, similar to your BOV for your intake system. If you simply plug it, it will overwork the airpump. It does not need filtered air as it's exit only.

I didn't know that, thanks Mahjik. Before I start rerouting hoses or removing things, I like to know the purpose first.

One thing I didn't think about until now, my car may pass smog just fine with this setup, but wouldn't I fail the visual here in California without a CARB legal sticker? That's one of the things I hate about living here.

it's pretty much a "moo silencer"

if you don't know what the moo is...vent that pipe without a silencer and drive around. haha
