Question Felt like clutch was slipping..but Ran it Hard and now it doesn't !!

My clutch felt like it was slipping the other day as evident of high RPM's at low speed. I know the feeling bec. it felt like that 2yrs. ago when it went out on me last. However, now it bites hard as it has ever. I ran it hard for about 2 hrs. today and couldn't get it to slip. Someone told me my Clutch slave or something may have been sticking. Is that possible???

It might not happen everyday. Two weeks ago my clutched slipped, then it stopped slipping for a week or so. Now it slips.

Remember the clutch will always slip in high gears first because the clutch than has less mechanical advantage between it and the diff. Put it in fourth and nail it through 4500 rpm.

Not to mention that it'll slip a hell of a lot easier when it's hot.. No more do-nuts 'till you get a new one..

I did that and it pulled like a ***** w/out slipping. I think I will run this clutch til it completely wears out. We'll see if the slipping comes back. I have to take an 3 hour road trip tomm. and we'll see how it acts at the end of the trip. If it's slipping....I'm gonna go with the RPS Max Performance clutch kit.

As long as I've had this clutch I've only spun the tires twice !! NEVER have I dogged it. However, I do hard runs to redline on a daily basis. I guess it's catching up to me now.

as long as were on the subject. A long time ago, I got into a bit of tight spot(18 wheeler didnt see me) and as a desperate attempt at not mangling my FD i down shifted into 3rd and floored it. To my surprise, I smoked the clutch so bad that I was smelling it miles down the road(not to mention the cloud of smoke i left back there. It slipped BAD but I managed to pull it off.
The clutch has not done that again. Any ideas as to what that was? It seem fine this summer when i kinda drove it hard.

I have the exact same symptoms as you badass. I was experiencing slipping about a week ago in 4th and 5th gears. However, when I try to intentionally slip the clutch now, it doesn't. Please post the solution to the problem if you find it. It's most likely the same solution that i'm looking for. thanks.
