Not the best pic should have washed it first, but Mark Koch did these for me, unfortunately I don’t think he is doing anymore parts for the time being.

If you want carbon fiber door handles, dont get feed, they just repaint them and stamp their name on it. IMO, they're not worth the money. Try and find someone like Mark Koch, and have them make you actual carbon fiber handles. They look so much better. IMO.

Aren't you ever worried that they may stop working or the battery will be dead? Looks pretty cool, if I would go so far to have solenoids, I'd just remove the handle all together.

For a long time, the hot rod crowd with shaved handle has been putting remote battery terminals somewhere on the car, just incase the battery goes dead, they can still jump start it. Near the underside in back is a pretty popular spot.

The answer to that is twofold, I always have the rear hatch and I made a special hood release that is accessible from the nose. (but very difficult to find and use even if you know where it is ) I do plan on removing the rear tumbler if I ever get around to painting the car. And then I will just have broken windows to contend with instead of twisted locks

First, this is the first I've heard of door handles ACTUALLY MADE OF CF. All the ones I have heard of up to this point were painted or overlays. Good info!

As for the FEED door handles, yea they're a lil pricey, but keep in mind that you're getting 2 brand new door handles in the process. Considering door handles are about $180 a pop new, I think $300 is a damn good deal for TWO new door handles + the CF look.

There's also another option tho...the middle route. I got the NEW RX7Trix CF overlays, which look INCREDIBLE (not the old ones that looked real cheap). I get compliments about them all the time...cuz they've got a real nice weave, and a very thick clearcoat on 'em. Here are 2 pics...

Yea...I woulda went w/ the FEED ones too, but I had already replaced my door handles when I first got the car, along w/ the lock cylinders. So when it came time for dressing up the FD, I couldn't convince myself to spend $300 on new handles when I already had new handles lol.

Ya I was a little disappointed, he told me not to worry about filling it in myself, and that he would take care of it with bondo, and he didn’t really merge it into the natural flow very well. I am pretty sure mine were the first set like that so he probably didn’t even think of it at the time.

But it is only from certain angles and good light that you can even see it anyway, so I am not really disappointed seeing as he did such a good job. Thanks again Mark

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I've never had the chance to work with CF. How hard is it to cut finished CF? Would it mess up the handle to just dremel out the spot where the locks are? (on the door handles in the pic above)
