I haven't done it myself...but I know when my body shop was installing the hood pins on my CF hood, he was dreading having to drill holes into the hood, because messing w/ the CF structure tends to produce unpredictable results...

Keep in mind that CF isn't like fiberglass, where it'll just crack. CF will break into a million and one peices...
