FEED brand DP? Good or Bad?

From reading all I can before buying a used DP, it seems pretty unanimous to stay away from MINDTRAIN as a brand............. How about the brand FEED? any feedback is appreciated and any other recommendations are also appreciated.......... Thanks guys............

You are obvoiusly unfamiliar w/ the major RX7 tuners. FEED is a highly respected tuner in Japan.

You have to be careful with some of the jap parts. The DP is a good example. Since the J-spec FDs are RHD, the steering colum goes right next to the DP. As a result, there is a big dimple on J-Spec DPs.

The US made ones are much better than the Japanese ones for the reason stated by Flybye. Don't buy things just for the brand...some of the stuff these higly respected tuners put their name on a product made by x company and charge twice as much for the exact same ****.

FEED is a great tuner. They have great products. I'm sure they have best product around. But will the Dp fit US cars, that's another story.

You guys wanna know something really funny?? I can name many many Jap. tuners who are the most highly respected that don't even make their own products (prototype only). Products meaning anything metal.....like DP's,manifolds,exhausts,etc.... They get a design.....make it to see if it fits and works good....then they send it off somewhere else. The same place they send it is the same place we (my partners and I) have our stuff made. It's in another country (can't say for other reasons) and that's where it is mass produced....then shipped back. It's cheaper and the quality is better than most you will see. I've seen some prototypes from Top Fuel....Spirit.....JIC and some others that are just as big. (JIC makes titanium parts now.....we might have titanium parts soon as well )

So most of the high dollar parts that we get from Japan's elite were not even made by them. I'm not talking **** either.....I know this for a fact and can prove it because we deal with the same companies that they do

Does this make sense?

Hey guys....... thanks for all the feedback on feed (pun intended).......the guy that wants to sell it to me posted this below......... does this make sense?........ another guy has a brand new pettit SS for 250 shipped........I think that may be the safer route..........this one is 250 also, with fiberglass wrap and ceramic paint....... but the feedback about the dimple, etc. makes me believe this IS a little different because of it coming off a Japanese RH Driver car.........................maybe I should just go for the pettit, not worry, and give up the fiberglass/ceramic............
any thoughts? and thanks........ sorry, I'm a newbie on the FD..........

"If you have even seen the DP it's wierd, it's not like all the other dp. all the other ones are round all the way through. This one is perfectly done. It is kinda flat near the end where it ataches to the turbo, And a good reason why for that matter, the dimple is small, what makes this uniques is the shape of it towars the end. It makes install hella easy. If you have ever installed one you would know what imean. The reason alot of the other dp companies don't have this design is because it is very costly to actally have the mold that the feed has. I thought it was alot as well to spend on the dp but once i got and installed it, it was well worth the money. I didn't want to haev to sell it, i'm forced to. I went with a single kit and it doesn't allow for the feed dp, it uses it's own. If i had a choice i would sell the DP that came with my turbo kit and not the feed. Well, it's up to you... thanks. OH yea, I also have a pettit(pettitracing.com for more info) intake as well. I didn't get a chance to use that either, looks old but still fit to do the job. I bought it for 150. it goes for around 400 i believe. Only thing missing from that is a little shield. I'll try to get you pics of everything I have and then I'll send it to you. ok? "
