Feed air intake Headlight covers?
Feed air intake Headlight covers?
Anybody have these?
I think KSP/FEED a few other companys have these. I am currently using a N-tech intake now. Would these help
air-flow?
Would these aid in cooling the engine bay as well?
thanks for the replies... jc

these headlight covers do absolutely nothing for performance. the air is blocked by way too many things before it even gets close to the intake. they are strictly for show. they do look cool though
I'm not sure if I agree with JoeD, but since I haven't seen one installed in person, I can't say that it's not true.
However, the inlet will be useless when the headlights are up.

joeD is half/mostly right. its blocked by some headlight brackets, but there is still a small amount of room for air to get through. probably not a very significant amount if your going anywhere below 80. but yes, they do LOOK very cool and purposeful...
I'm using an N-Tech intake with the Knightsports lid.
I agree that it is not the smoothest route for air into the intake, however,
I'm sure it is better than nothing. I'm agree that it's probably not too
useful when the lights are on/up.
The only thing you can really remove to improve the airflow through the
lid is the rubber/plastic molding that mounts on the front lip of the hood
directly behind the rear of the headlamp lid. Take that off and the air
can shoot into the engine compartment.
In my opinion, it is better than nothing....
...and it looks cool!
