FD's featured in Modified Mag

The new copy of Modified Mag has a feature with some really killer rotaries that belong to a guy called Nick Thomas. The man is a total rotary freak. The article states that he has a total of 16 rotaries of all types and set-ups. My new heroe!

My 2yr subscription got transferred (unwillingly) to this mag when SCC went out of business:-(

That article says the man is 51, but he is representing some grade A rice with all those stickers and aircraft size wings. WTF?

I do envy his Pettit TKT 3Rotor though!

I agree with some of the ricer stuff, not crazy about the body kit on the 10th Aniv. but still some pretty badass rotaries. Sorry no scanner.

wow man,i remember a couple of years ago the owner or editor of modified magazine was all over the race track throwing pictures and trying to get this magazine started. He was giving away free 1st issues and i took one from him and talked to him for a while. The magazine sucked i didn't think it would make it. But there goes to show you that hard work and persistence makes it happen.

I have been a big fan of mod mags and have bought issues for the last 2 years + my current 2 year subscription started last month.

SCC never really had much in the way of rotary content. They always seemed to bag on the engine to be honest. It was a pretty decent mag and i'm a little sorry to see them go, but maybe if they featured more RX-7s they would still be in print

Modified isn't bad. A little over the top for my tastes.

It's crazy the way he tucked 315/30-18 on the back of his Pettit 3 rotor.

That's not too hard to do on an FD, they fit under stock fenders.

Edit: Oh wait, I assumed it was an FD. Haven't seen the article yet.

Yes it's on a FD. I didn't think a tire that size would fit a stock fender.
