Hey guys, I am selling my car in hopes that I cant get an FD soon. Well I am shiiping out to Boot camp in a couple of weeks andd after that I will be in Germany. Now for my question. Do they retail RX-7s in Germany. Old new or whatever. I would love to be able to drive and FD on the Autobahn. Well thanks for the help guys!

I've been to several counties in Europe (some more than 5 times) since 1992. I never saw an FD. Most car guys in Europe, thought Mazda stopped making the RX7 in 1990. You will see MP2, Corvettes and Camaro's, but no FD's.

They were sold in England, I know that much for sure. In fact, recently I saw an ad for a used FD in an English car magazine.

We also had someone post on the forum who sent a photo of an FD in Italy. So they're in Europe. Where they are in Germany, I don't know. It sounds like they're very rare. You might try a web search. There's a Mazda club in Austria. You might start with them. (sorry, I don't have a link. If I find it, I'll come back and post it.)

On my trip to London a couple of months ago, I saw a LOUD and FAST VR blow right by me - couldn't react fast enough to get a picture, hehe.

Also had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful island country of Malta, all 20+ miles of it edge to edge hehe. Here is a black 3rd gen that greated me on my arrival:

Colin (on this Forum) who's lucky enough to live there, says there are about 60 RX7s of various gens on the island.

Was planning on visiting Europe again at the beginning of the new year, but I really want to go to the Tokyo Auto Saloon in Jan!

Have fun in Germany, and thanks for serving the country!

My friend went to Italy this summer. He was there for about 2 1/2 weeks and saw 3 FDs. That's more than I see here in 6 months.

Of course there are Rx7's in Europe. In the UK there are quite a number although most are imported from Japan as they stopped oficially importing them to the UK in 1995. There may well be less in Europe but they are there.
