I dont think I've ever even seen or heard about the ITR dominating or even competing in SCCA or Autocross events. Again maybe this is because Im not interested in them.
Well, to be accurate, the FD3S did not OWN SoloII or ProSolo from '93-'00. It was the dominate car but SS was heavily populated with C4 owners as well (who griped incessantly about how the RX-7 was underclassed). If you look up National results from those years, you'll see that RX-7's and C4's were the primary competitors ... with the RX-7 usually coming out on top. And as far as being very competitive, well, that depends on your definition of 'very competitive'. I can put down my best run of the day where I'm 2-inches from every slalom cone, at the limit of adhesion on every sweeper and I'll still be at least 1-2 second behind the Z06's. (For you non-autocrossers, 1-2 seconds is a LOT of time.)

ITR's are actually pretty popular in SoloI ... I can't remember which class it is. But, this thread was started about the RSX-R or S, whichever you should choose. RSX's are pretty popular in the STS/STX classes here in SoloII. Not really all that fast, but moderately competitive ... considering that they're allowed intake, catback, and suspension modifications in STS/STX.

The JDM Integra (RSX) Type-R is a formidable car. The 280ps JDM FD will handily outaccelerate the Type-R, and turn quicker lap times. The 93-95 US market FD should also beat it in outright acceleration. A track showdown between the US FD and the new JDM Type-R would be a closer competition. The Type-R has the benefit of more modern tires, Brembo four-pot brakes, and a trick helical front diff. On the track, it would probably come down to driver skill.

To make it clear, I'm not referring to the Integra Type-R that was available in the US 97-01, but the new JDM version.
