ive been told the FD sideview mirror is 3 wire but doesnt have a turn signal so im just not sure if i should buy a 3 wire or 4 wire aftermarket sideview mirror w/ a LED turn signal.

anybody out there who has a FD w/ turn signal sideview mirrorz offer me some insight so i buy correctly plz?

 

I've never seen an FD in with the turn signals on the mirrors, but a quick google search and somebody selling a pair on ebay proves that they do exist apparently. I guess my question is does your car already have them, and they're broken and that's why you're wondering? In which case I think you would be better off starting the disassembly process yourself and finding out. Or is this something that you're thinking of swapping onto your car? In which case, is there a mechanical reason, or just aesthetics?

 

wiring diagram says 3, there is a motor for vertical and one for horizontal, but i guess they share a power or ground or whatever
planning on a deeper dive on the mirrors, turns out you can take them apart

 

ya i found LHD M3 or M4 style power mirrorz w/ LED turn signal from KDC but they have a 3 or 4 wire version so im thinkin of buyin 4 wire since normal FD power mirror already has 3 wire & 4th wire would b LED turn signal but ya im just guessin

 

ive only seen a handful of FD w/ a turn signal mirror. i 1st noticed them on the Burnout FD & love the look. i also dont have front fender side light cuz i got 99+ front bumper & 93 front fender
