Question fd trunk lid interchangeable?

I'm about to buy a trunk lid from an r1 to put on my touring model FD, the guys at the company where they have it keep telling me its only for FDs with no sunroof, are the hinges that mount the trunk lids different between fds with sunroof and the ones without. I believe they should all mount up. anybody knows?

Everything I've seen the FD hatches are more or less the same. The only deal with a car with a sunroof is if it has a wiper on the rear hatch and the wiring for the wiper.

Basically, you can have a plain hatch, one with holes for the stock rear spoiler, or one with the wiper, or some combination of holes and wiper. That's really the only difference.

+1

the R1 will have spoiler holes but no wiper. touring has wiper. the touring didn't come from japan with a spoiler, but it actually was pretty popular so a lot of them have it

They're the same, like others have said the only difference is the wiper and spoiler.

It would be a pretty dumb move on Mazda's part if the mounting points were different.
