Cool FD queries for gurus..

Hey Guys. I pulled off the UIM tonight and poured some petrol down the rear intake, turned the engine over easily with a 17mm spanner on PS pulley. I will let is soak then maybe try oil? I'm trying to restore compression on #2. Last ditch efforts before a rebuild.

Can the gurus in the house have a look at the picture and please tell me where these vacuum lines are supposed to go? They weren't hooked up to anything when I removed the UIM.

Thanks!

Just one other thing I forgot to mention. I have a boost gauge and when the car runs (on what I think is the front rotor only) the gauge is reading about 15 in HG vaccuum, does this seem overly low and confirm that the engine needs a rebuild? What vacuum does a healthy engine have on idle?

If I remember your post from yesturday you have a JDM right? In the states we have many more solenoids that you. It looks to me like those empty lines all go to solenoids you don't have, either because you don't need them for emissions or they have been removed by previous owners. Here are a few pic showing what the stateside cars look like.

Hope this helps

OK Thanks Terry7. Yep, It's a JDM version. It has a funny VIN/Chassis number: FD3S-113199. I would like to know what year model the car is, does anyone know how to find this out?

How do you tell just by looking that it's a '92?

I have bought a couple of FD's from Japan. And from the serial number, 110xxx is def 92. Just bought a red FD and the serial is 113xxx and that is a 92 also as far as i know of.
