FD put away for the winter
The one thing about owning this car that I haven't been looking forward to. Months of not driving her 
Changed the oil and put her up on stands today for the winter, planning on doing some maintainence is why I put her on stands. Coolant hoses, vacuum lines, etc, and hopefully some goodies for xmas too.

When did you get the black stock rims?
You should put a set of serious tires on one set...I bought my car with a 2nd set of stock rims with Victoracers. It's a neat idea to keep the stock rims with serious rubber and then buy a nice-looking set with good street tires. I hope to get a nice set of light 17's someday.
And, this season is not so bad so far. It's the 18th and I am still driving the FD as often as usual, the roads and weather haven't been that bad just yet. She likes the cold weather too. After monday, however, I think she'll be officially "hibernating". Sometime in March it should start showing up on the road again, so it'll not even be a full 3 months of storage, not bad.

I have my 2nd set of rims with Bridgestone SO2s as well, hoping they last until I buy a nice set of 17" CCW's! :P Damn, and I wish my FD was black too!

I wouldn't worry about stabilizing the gasoline - it's only one winter. If you were leaving it for longer, then I'd do something about it. Just fire the car up every couple months and you'll be fine. Sure, the current tank may not be 100% in spring, but neither is a tank with a bunch of stabilizer in it...

Well, I was going to say something similiar. If "storage" means the comfort of your own garage, then why have stabilizer and jackstands for the tires? You can start the car once a week (if not more) and move the car a bit.
I wouldn't start it "every couple months" given storage should only be about 3.
I know I'm going to start it at least twice a week, especially if the temps drop to dangerous levels. At least it'll be away from the elements in my comfy garage.

I really didn't need to put the car up on jackstands to prevent flatspotting, but I'm planning on doing a lot of work over the winter so I figured I might as well do it now so I don't have to do it later.

I got mine in the back yard for the winter with a cover and just start it when im bored and wanta see it . last year i had it in my fathers garage for like 4 or 5 months and didnt start it at all and when i did it start it it ran fine. I dont take the wheels off or jack it up.

Well I replaced some radiator hoses today, upper, lower and the AST to radiator hose. Now I just need to do 2 turbo hoses. I guess I have to pull the air pump to get to one, not sure where the other one even is!
Anyway, I'm done for the day, here's a parting shot of my engine as it is, complete with ghetto plastic bags to stop up the pipes.

Good idea about cleaning, I've got plenty of time over the winter, it actually started snowing about 30 minutes ago so I picked a good time to pack her up.I also broke one of the nipples for the hoses for either the BOV or CRV, not sure which, off the stock air-box.

excuse to buy an intake possibly? maybe after xmas since I just blew a shitload on presents

bah, i was going to put mine away for the winter like last year but the idea of trying to start it weekly or biweekly in mega COLD *** weather doesnt suit my style..and i dont have an indoor garage, just a huge front driveway so i cant store the car in a warm spot..so regardless of weather conditions, i start it everyday, if the roads are not horrible (no rain, snow, ice) then ill drive it, otherwise, ill just start it up..
