Does anybody know the full story about this. The car started driving by itself and then the driver caught up but he was too late and launch the car off the dock and into the water. Its a 94 rx7 .................................................. with an lsx swap. Hope the guys okay

yeah the guy is ok and luckily no one was hurt. Basically its a V8 conversion, the owner was standing near his car, hit the remote start and for some reason the car took off. The owner then jumped in his car to stop it but to no avail. He and the FD ended up in the drink not before hitting a car a couple of motorcycles and curve that apparantly made him go airbourne. Eye witnesses claim it was anywhere from 4-8 feet of air that he cought.

 

Dang. That sucks!

 

Which is why a lot of places are reluctant to install a remote start on a manual tranny.

If you do, at least make sure it's out of gear.

 

Wonder if his insurnance will cover that.
