Mark the place for the new holes and drill and tap using 6mm dia.1 pitch tap. If the holes over lap have a welder plug them then drill and tap .

it's unfortunate you have to do this swap. The FC CAS is inferior to the FD's ignition pickup.

I talked to Microtech recently about a customers car that had the same problem LT10 for an FC . They responded with:

"That unit is set up for the FC but will work on the FD no problems
You will need to do the timing adjustment using the "static" function in the ECU
You will need a value of around 7-10 in there for the timing to be correct
You will need to mark out the FD pulley like a conventional style pulley to double chack your marks as the factory mark is 20deg atdc for T1 (which is frigging stupid if you ask me)
Back yourself up by checking the timing on all the plugs if you think something is not correct
Everything else will be the same & it should run with no problems
The only thing that is different is the timing.Do what I said & just double check & you can't go wrong (if there are any problems that's the only place they will be)
Jon"

I have not had a chance to get the car back in the shop to verify this, however.
