Fan stays on with key ON

Id figure I make a new thread since my questions has changed and the first problem is gone now, for search purposes for other enthusiasts.

Everytime I have the key in the ON position the fans come on and stay on. I have narrowed the problem down to the Fan relay wiring thats closest to the fender and closest to the passenger. I tried switching relays and the problem persists.

The info isnt in the FSM but which relay does that one gets it signal from? Is it the A/C or defroster input? or thermoswitch? ECU? I cant find the thread that I think had that info.

Also do you think I can limp the car to a shop to have them fix it? Since I dont really know whats up.

Okay I found the thread, looks like its cooling fan relay 1 thats triggering it on. Fans stay on when relay is plugged in, they go off when its unplugged. Also the ECU cant be causing it?

Went back and tested again. Top 2 relays are ON during ignition ON. Fan running at middle speed.

Did you get this squared away?
If I remember correctly, the fans running whenever the key is on, is the 'fail-safe' mode.
If your temp sender goes bad, or the connector falls off etc. it will signal the fans to run.
