fan mod problem (yeah dont flame me just yet)

My car doesnt seem to have any fans.....
I just got it started after the winter long project and the temps get over 180f and the fans arent coming on..I have tried the fan mod with no luck..

I take one of the wires listed in doing the mod and ground it. I hear the relay click but nothing else...

what could be up....

The fan mod (grounding the wire) didn't work on my car. I did the Miata Thermoswitch instead.

you prob. did the mod wrong. which version of the mod did you try.

you can easily test to see if your fans are working. simply turn on your a/c while your car is running. if the fans turn on you're fine...

good luck

The fans are not supposed to come on at 180 degrees. They don't come on until over 220.

I noticed that when I removed the ECU from my car, the fans came on. There was no key in the ignition either. I thought I was hearing the a/c in the house click on.

the fans do come on at 220 i found that out and got scared and turned my car off..

Also i tried grounding it with the AC turner on and nothing..Tried with the AC and inside Fans nothing..just the inside fans and nothing..

one side note my inside fans arent working either..these type of things related.......

This really sucks its so nice out and I wanted to go for a drive and its getting to hot under the hood

adding to this mess....
http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/fan_test.html

I tried the first one there an no luck..
Interesting side point..i pulled the car into my garage and let it sit for a couple mins. I just ran outside to do the above test got in the car turned it to ON and the fans came on...it seems if the AC and fan speed is set to 4 they come on you just gotta fiddle with it)

Also there is a wire tapped into one of relays previously..its tapped into a Brown wire with white/silver dots on it...

thanks for all the help

if test 1 was done right, and no fans, then likely someone messed up fan relay. check this site as to what was likely attempted:

http://rx7.voodoobox.net/howto/fanswitch/fanswitch.html

this is related wiring diagram:
