failed emmison test flying numbers!!

Well I failed emission test very bad.
like 4times more from limit.

what i found it failed when mostly accelerating even I set my pmc to stock level and limit boost to 7psi.

tomorrow I'm gona wire the wastegate open so it can't
have boost and clean the spark plugs and try again.
if it doesn't I'll have to put my precat back.

any sugestion welcome.

I passed emission test with my down pipe on.
So I think the precat wouldn't matter.

1.) Do as you had plan already
2.) Change your oil
3.) Buy a bottle of the Guarantee to Pass Emission
This bottle should have a 3000GT back to it.
4.) Just follow the direction and you should pass with
ease. It should work for all emission test.

I failed again.
but it's very close now about 110%.

today I put my precat back on, wired waste gate open and put guarantee to pass and took pms out.

because over here dyno is like some what real life driving.
operater follow the screen from stop accelerate stop and
go fast and slow crusing all kind spped and load.

it is allmost perfect except high speed acceleration.
like 50 kmh to 70 I guess this guy pushed gas too hard.
even without boost it came out from o2 feedback and make it reach.
so next my plan is putting pmc back and take gas out at
around 0psi(high load) cell about 10%.

this smog ******* said "this is why not many RX7 on the street!!"

well I'll pass next time for sure.
I may adjust gas cable so this ******* can't go WOT too.

BTW by engine is ported that's why it's giving me hard time.

one question.

is it possible to blow engine at 0psi boost with lean mixture? because I wnt to take gas out like 10%.

seems stock ecu set to really reach at 0psi.

I really need wide band o2..

Which Air Care are you going to in new west? I know a few crokked ones. Try the one behind the Mercedes Benz dealer on Boundry Rd. They pass anything if you go through twice, and if you tell them not to WOt the car they wont. Well they wont just gun it anyway.

Good luck

And I thought California was bad. Passed last month no probs, but pretty much stock yet.

Try some denatured alcohol. 10/2 ratio worked for me.

When I tested my first rx7 the guy shook my hand and congratulated me for failing by the largest amount he had ever seen.
