A/f Gauge

Quick question how does the A/F gauge work? How can i read it. When i turn on my car its at red (LEan) when i'm dirivng its at yellow(stoich) when i start braking its at green (rich) when i give the car soem gas either from a stop or already in motion it will go from red to green back and forth mutliple times really fast until i let go of gas. Are these normal readings or is it suppose to be constantly in one color? Not sure if is installed right or not.

You need a wideband O2 sensor

It's a disco light.

Just reads as a trend indication. NOT for tuning.

Is a wideband affected as much by voltage and grounds too? Cause I got the discolight-autometer version and if i hit the brakes and the lights come on, the bar moves toward lean. Just one point but it still something. Is the wideband effected by voltage as well?

They're normal but the gauge isn't accurate really. If you want accuracy, get a wideband.

I wouldn't even bother putting in an A/F gauge. It's hardly accurate and you can't safely tune by it, therefore it becomes deadweight
