extended street porting options
what is the largest most usable street porting template to get the most out of my config : and i dont want to have to rev to 4K to leave from a stop
i am not planning on going single , mayb .. mayb bnr 3 in the distant future ... no money to eat right now
full intake / 3" exhaust with high flow cat / upgraded SMIC
pettit unlimited ecu
stock twins , ported wastegate
stock fuel inejctor sizez
boost ~ 12-13 psi
simplified sequential
i want a template that will give me the most i can get out of this ..
i dont want to do a small half *** porting job .. the engine is out and i want to make it a significant mod /
it`s my everydaywhenit`sworking car with track time on weekend
any input appreciated
and yes i have been reading on this for a few days now here , on no pistons and a few ther sites .

I responded in a pm to you, if you plan on keeping the Pettit Ecu and the stock twins anything more than a very minor port is just a waste of time. The stock porting is plenty sufficient for the stock twins, Im not saying there isnt anything to gain, there just isnt much. You are simply asking for idling headaches, likely slight smoke at idle if you keep that ecu.

template is the best idea, and take it to a GOOD machine shop, if you're close to someone who has had their motor ported, just ask them who they took it too, I'm taking mine to omaha (about an hour away) to have mine ported, but I'm going with a larger port.
my mods: 99 spec turbos, efini y-pipe, greddy FMIC, elbow and intake, custom exhaust, 4x850 injectors, and PFC, the guy I told you to PM has the port template I'll be using, and the PFC maps, yay!

its best to practice on a few junk irons before going on with YOUR irons.
you can easily find a 12a or two at the local junk yard... i got 3 of mine for a deal.... $50 each or $150 for one. and they all spun freely, i only needed to turn them with one hand.
I used them for practicing porting to get a feel for how the tool reacts and how close i can get to the line before going with a hand file and beveling the edges.
